I'm hoping that this will clear some people of the curiosity if any with non EX machines and for folks to find different ways others have lifted there non EX models.
How did you lift you non EX model? Go..

Feel free to list websites and even part numbers to help others.

Anyone use different year machine parts to lift? Explain how it was done.

Thanks for the help in advance

JMO but can't do much with a non-EX machine and expect the CVs to last any time. The ride will even more horrible no matter what you do but if you really need a little more clearance, then just crank-up the preload some or add some spring spacers...not too much though.., then add 1.5" spacers to the wheels and finally add up to about 29" tires. That'll get you maybe 3".

I'll have to disagree a little with you on this one NMK.  I agree that these are not good machines to lift.  If you must I would do it with a bracket lift and do maybe a 2 inch bracket lift then crank the preload down and you can have a bit softer of a ride and be at 1.5 inches. You WILL get more sway in corners with any lift but just know that going into it and adjust riding style accordingly. Sometimes you just need the clearance (as I did)

Your right..you can do a 2" bracket lift and with some adjustment get a decent ride. I'm just all about comfort and longevity these days. For me better to have good belly armor and just go for it...lol

I've cranked the preload already. Rides WAY to rough.. bracket and lowering my preload sounds like I'll get a way better ride. I like the thought!

I do not know. I have an EX and bought a RZR 800 kit and cut it to fit. Really the easiest way if they don't make one is to just get some steel squares and drill and cut yourself. Basically what I had to do anyway lol.

I had the RZR 2 in lift on mine for several trips. Found the ride to be miserable, even with shocks turned down and less air in the tires. I'm running 27 in tires and only gained 1.5 inch in lift. I have a aluminum skid plate that handles the rough stuff. That said I removed the and only lost 3/4 of an inch. Plan is to get that back with 28 in tires in the future.

These non ex machines have zero travel in the suspension in the rear. Anyone else have any input on this? I'm ALMOST wondering if I have bad shocks in this.
