Stupid question- fuse box location?
« on: October 03, 2022, 07:19:14 PM »
I have a 2016 zforce 800 EX. My fan is not working and I have read that it could be a fuse or thermo switch. I thought I would start by checking the fuse first but I can’t find the fuse box! The picture in the manual is no help, please clue me in on the location and access for the fuse box. Thank you in advance.

i saw a video somewhere showing a guy changing his fan fuse on a zforce....dont know what year machine it was but he took off the hood in front and it looked as tho he removed the storage box and the fuse box was under there.

2017 and below are on the right side of the steering column. Looks like a connector as they use micro fuses. 99.95% of the time the problem is the thermoswitch. The rest of the time is divided between the fuse and the relay.  2018+s don't use thermoswitches anymore. Also make sure the radiator is completely full..no air gap.

Mine doesn't have any but yours will. Just the one directly under the column

I also understand that the cfmoto thermoswitch's aren't reliable. Do you recommend a replacement part?

Some convert to a Polaris switch but that takes buying one with a pigtail and cutting the connectors off. Others have had good luck with the CFM replacements as they have improved some. We do recommend doing a bypass or override switch. I have a how to in the..How To section on doing that. I have never needed it but it's nice to know if I did I have it.

Thank you! Turns out it was the fuse. I appreciate you helping me find it, I didn't want to randomly start taking off plastics.
