Steering rack issue
« on: April 14, 2024, 01:49:32 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm having an issue where my steering columb is hitting the plastic where it exits the cab past the gas pedal.  I did also notice that my driver side tie rod seems to be coming out an an angle.  I feel like the steering rack need to be replaced but just hoping for some confirmation from the experts. I'm still learning.

I did hit a rock a while back and had to replace the tierod end so I feel this is probably the culprit.

I do have a 2" lift which i realize messes up the angles and adds to the wear.

2022 zforce trail.
Couple pictures attached, one where my Columb is hitting, one of the passenger side tierod and one of driver side.

Thanks

I see one cracked yoke and one bent tie rod. Both need replaced and...if it were mine.. the lift kit would be removed.

Oh shoot I didn't even notice the yoke but see it now that u mention it.

Yeah I think I am going to take the lift out, it's causing more problems than good.  Kind of regret getting the trail model, not enough clearance for my riding type.

Yeah if I had it to do over again I would have gone with an EX.
