Anybody come up with a good solution to stop the heat from blowing around the steering column and cooking your foot?

I made a kind of a covered 3-sided shield with it open bottom for mine that cut about 75-80% of the hot air coming through that hole where the steering shaft and gas peddle stuff go through. These are all the pics I took of it but I made it out of some extra 1/8" ABS sheet I had left over from the fender project. Not real pretty..but it did help.

I bought a shifter boot that I cut & was attempting to figure out how to secure it on the inside, maybe Gorilla tape. My shoulders & arms started hurting too much from attempting to work in cramped area, had to give up
