Stage 3 Elka?
« on: March 13, 2019, 11:28:21 AM »
I just bought a new 2018 Zforce 800 trail. Looking at the Elka shocks to get better riding and small jumps (when it happens) Anyone have any experience with the stage 3,4,5 on the 800 trail?

Some have and will chime-in I'm sure. My 2015 trail's springs were collapsing so with the help of Bandit UTV suspension, I have replaced all those with new, pro-grade single rate springs. They gave me the ride and control I was looking for....what it should have had in the first place. However when the CFM shocks do wear out I will be looking at either Elkas or a full custom set of Bandit comp-grade shocks which are stouter then the Elka stage-3s...for about the same money. Not there yet, so enjoying the new springs over the old collapsed ones right now. Still...from my experience so far with full shock replacements, nothing beats a set of Elkas. :)

I got a set of Stage 1 Elkas for my Trail 800. Big improvement.

I have full set of stage 3 elkas on my 800 trail! My only regret is waiting almost a year to buy them! Such an amazing improvement,  best $1500 i spent! I can hit the same rough section of trail i had to slow down to under 20mph so i didnt break my back with how rough it was with stock,  at over  40mph and accelerating with  no loss of control and barely  know the bumps are there.. and oh yeah you  can actually jump now without  dying lol. Ive enjoyed my zforce way better than i ever did with the stock suspension!  This is the inky way to own a trail version.. otherwise the 60 inch is the way to go bc the stock suspension and geometry on them are 100x better than our stock trail 50 inch.. but still not as good as my trail 50 inch with elkas
