My neighbor had to replace the belt on his Z1000. He got it with 300 miles and always had a shudder on take off. Evidently the belt had flat spots on it from the previous owner.
I'm currently at 2700 miles on the original belt on my Z800.
Wow 2700 miles, good to know. I guess I got time then huh. Maybe I'll just stick to biannual inspections for now like the dealer recommended. They said once or twice a season depending on usage. I use it to plow and I've been known to thrash it pretty hard with people who haven't been in it yet just to show em whats up lol. I love going at a big puddle in the throttle and seeing them be like holy crap. lmao Always a fun reaction Reaction edited for public viewing obviously.
