« on: May 17, 2023, 11:02:59 AM »
Does my zforce 800 trail have a skid plate from the factory?
I know......Lame question but i haven't been up under it yet.My Son n Law does the wrenching on it.
If it doesent come with one any recomendations ?
I'm not into the rock crawling any more so i won't need anything super heavy duty.

It does come with a plastic one in the center area. It doesn't cover anything on the outside like the baskets over the fuel tank and the extra battery area..both get beat-up pretty bad on rocky situations. Otherwise I still have my original centers but have added steel guards on the outer areas. Every time I think I will take them off because of the weight I bash it on some rocks and say...nope..not today...lol.

We do have two heavy duty Plastic Skid Plates to choose from.

Pacific Eagle UTV Enclosures were the first manufacture to support CF Moto with aftermarket Cab Enclosures and Windshields. Today we manufacture 32 Cab Enclosure combos for the UForce 500, 600, 800 &1000. We also manufacture 28 Cab combos for the ZForce 500, 600, 800 & 950 Sport & 1000. We think we have pretty much got CF Moto covered. We have updated our name to Pacific Eagle Powersports.

When I bought y Trail I saw the stock skidplate was pretty chintzy looking but I thought I'd nurse it along until it was more comfortable to upgrade. In no time at all chunks were busted out of that stock effort and the side basket (not protected at all by the stock plate)  was bashed in and touching the gas tank, ready to wear a hole in the bottom of that tank!
I got a set of Ricochets right away and have been happy ever since. Would have got Iron Baltic but they didn't make a Trail set at the time.
I suggest getting a good plate.
