Im kinda confused...so you dont get clicks its just more like a free spin?  If that is the case spray some wd 40 at the knob (behind it) and see if it frees the detint up.  It may not but its worth a shot.  I have a spare set of shocks I have been thinking of selling if you want to go that route.  But if yours is still under warranty I would just go back to the dealer on it and make them fix it.

You know, I never even looked at the shock adjustments on these. I have set the preload way down but I forgot about the dampening. Is there just one knob on these? I assume then it is for dampening?  Loosening would be less dampening more would be more (stiffer). Never really saw any write up on these. I have the stock USA ones, no elka's here

There is a compression and rebound adjuster on these.  They are labeled F for fast and S for slow.  One is on the resi and the other on the bottom of the shock.  I always get them backwards as to which is which so I wont say it and be wrong.  I will let someone else chime in with that.

Rebound is on the bottom, Compression is on the top..IF you have reservoirs. The 53s or Trails do not have reservoirs on the rears so no compression there - just rebound.  The best setting for average trail riding is: Count the clicks from closed (S) to full open(F) and set both in the center. Then on compression go 1-2 clicks to the Fast (F) side and on the rebound go 1-2 clicks to the slow (S) side.

It confuses me because compression is on the top of the reservoir on my bike

Yeah I see that so manual must be in error. No one puts the rebound on top unless they are both there. Easy test. Pull the shock, shut the valve..ie all the way to slow and to the stop, then compress the shock. If you can't compress it, then its compression. If you can but it either won't come back out or is very slow, its rebound.

I got in touch with my dealer he ordered me a new set..compression is on the top.I kinda figured that was compression but looking in the book it was backwards.. The suspension feels fine just wanted to see some different settings see if I can  get any better..

I think we found several things in the manuals that didn't quite make it past translation unscathed...lol

Yea like the part that list both wheel lug tq specs and axle nut and there backwards. 70-80nm for axle nut , 130-140 for wheel lugs lol. Its the opposite everywhere else in manual.
