Seat setup for kids
« on: April 24, 2017, 05:21:03 AM »
Hey guys been following CFMoto for a while and I am just waiting to get back from my deployment to go check out the local dealer to possibly buy a Zforce 800. Quick question does anyone have young kids that ride with them? I am looking to get my wife and 3 year daughter into wheeling. I saw that some companies make bench seats and center seats for side x sides but nothing for CFMoto that I can find. What kind of setup are you all working with? And don't worry I won't be going fast at all with the kiddo, I just want to bring her along. She was so sad when I sold my Grizzly 660

I had built a seat and roll cage for my Yamaha Rhino I used to have.  The seat was out of a Jeep cj5 (rear seat) and all i did was bolt it down and build a rear roll cage to protect them.  Now the CF Moto bed is narrower so I dont think that seat would work.  But you could just get a seat like this (I know its a little $$$ but its for kiddo safety and buy a $100 harness for her and you are all set.   ( http://www.jegs.com/i/Scat/942/80-1620-62C/10002/-1?CAWELAID=230006180037541807&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=44693592161&CATCI=aud-194567928791:pla-176541687431&CATARGETID=230006180039218968&cadevice=c&gclid=Cj0KEQjwxPbHBRCdxJLF3qen3dYBEiQAMRyxS3O_mEBaCnD6uW7QhE3p4VcZ9dSV6Mq6OmbtZ9DQjr8aAuGA8P8HAQ )

Does anyone make a rear roll cage for the zforce. I have no fab skills myself so I would have to buy it or have someone make it for me. Bolting a small seat in the bed should be easy

No one makes one that would go up high enough.  There is a place that makes "kicker bars" but nothing that would protect the kiddo.  Check with some local fab shops as it shouldnt be to bad to have one made.

Awhile ago I was thinking about using a rear seat for a bike and making a bracket for it between the seats. Got distracted and she got bigger on me. Would a jump seat for an rzr be made to work?

The only issue I see with doing a bench seat or something in the middle is the e-brake handle is right there and it would have to be moved to another location. Unfortunately until I get back to look at a zforce again I won't know how hard it would be to remove the handle and relocate so I could put a bench in there. I think that would be the best option but how to do it lol.

Well, could always go over the e brake. Just not in use when having 3 people.

Looks like some mid seats are higher up to clear the handle or have a notch in the front to make room.
