Welp. Finally smoked the factory winch. I’ve plowed snow pulled trees and logs and even pulled myself out of the mud once lol. I was just gonna grab a harbor freight winch to replace it but what’s the biggest one you guys have been able to fit in there. I’d like to get a little heavier duty than the 3500 lbs but just not sure about fitment. Or should I just be happy with that and call it good enough. Thanks in advance

Dang.. sounds like you use your winch a lot. Take a measurement of how much room is in there width and height and the size of the current winch. Also measure the mounting bolt pattern because at some point the basses change to a larger pattern. I think its 4500 but don't hold me to that. A badlands winch is not a bad winch at all. Lots of people use them with great results. A warn is always the best but is also is over twice the price..usually.

I had my local dealer replace the factory winch with a Walmart Hypertough 5500lb utv winch, in my 2022 Zforce 800 Trail. They had to drill different mounting holes but otherwise it fit. The retail box in the store does not say "UTV" anywhere, but scanning the barcode shows it is the UTV winch. While I haven't used it, this youtube video shows what' it's capable of

With a better power supply and connection it would do a lot better but let's see...that 65 barracuda with the engine and transmission weighs 2,726lbs but without the engine and transmission say about 2100?..plus some dirt. Their 5500lb winch could almost pick it up but you could tell the power was depleting badly.
