Very Nice, Great purchase!

Thanks.  I'm not a fan of the camo, but couldn't find one in all black.  It's a pretty neat product, but it must not have caught on.  Looks like it was designed for an ATV rack.  It's waterproof, and (ahem) dust proof, although I'm pretty skeptical of that last part.  It has a steel tube inner cage, so it's pretty tough.  36" long, 16" tall, and around 11" wide.  Easily holds all my stuff.  I guess I need to buy more stuff.

After throwing around what I wanted I finally decided on this box from Tractor Supply. $65. I got some weather stripping and put it along the top lip to try and help keep dust out. Put a piece of plywood inside to separate my tools from the other crap I carry such as my rain suit.

SuperATV has a real nice box for the Zs. I just wend with this diamond plate box.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000MK5LVG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Still looks OK.

The Amazon link for your storage box display a product that is 32"L, 12"W and 12" Tall.   Is that the actual one you bought and shown in your picture.   The box in your picture looks like it may be taller than 12"

Nope...that's the one-32x12x12. That leaves a little room behind it as at the time I had an air cleaner back there and I wanted to carry a flat pack there so..you could go wider if you wanted..like 14-15 easy.

I bought the Dee Xee box through eBay. $104 free shipping. I mounted five elastic T handle straps (Jeep hood style) to keep it in place in the cargo area. Quick to remove.
There's still over 2 1/2 inches between the front and the forward part of the cargo area, enough to drop in an old style Kolpin flat pack gas container, 14 liters. The box lid stays open by itself. Just have to weather strip it for dust. :)

I have that same box, though I mounted it with a bolt going into the engine cover and one Polaris ride mount expansion plug thingy...can you take a couple photos oh how you mounted your Jeep style T handles.. I can see them in the pic, but maybe a couple without the box in the bed area? Thanks.

I haven't yet found the right combination of storage/price for the Z8, so I opted to go cheap but functional.  The box was $18 at Walmart. I installed a layer of leftover Tuff-R insulation (aluminum side down) to address the heat on the back deck building up in the box. I made two lock-n-ride style anchors from 1" freeze plugs ($6) and hardware I had lying around so it would extend down past the insulation. Not a bad solution for under $25.

This should do the job until I find a more desirable solution.
