My tilt steering was stuck in position. I played with it and the pin came right out. Now it's at the top position.

Any idea how to put the pin back in as it was?

My tilt steering was stuck in position. I played with it and the pin came right out. Now it's at the top position.

Any idea how to put the pin back in as it was?

The pin has a bend in it that when pulled, just pushes in a release in the center of the rod..like an office chair. Mine also came out once and I had to: 1-undo the jam nut on the shaft. 2- unscrew the shaft from that last piece enough to slip the rod back in. (You can also take the bolt out of the bottom of the unit and spin it to back it out some) 3-re-screw the shaft back in and a little extra to keep it from doing it again. 4-relock the jam nut.

You are welcome Mine hasn't come out again after making it a little tighter..ie taking the play out.
