Problem
« on: August 04, 2025, 10:48:24 AM »
I have an 23 800 Trail. I was riding a few weeks ago and hit some pretty deep ruts and it tipped over on its side against the bank not all the way over. We got it pushed back right and finished the ride. I got into it for the first time since that ride this past weekend now the steering wheel has a slight turn to the left. It drives fine but in order to go straight the steering is turned to the left in the 10 o’clock position. Is this due to it being out of alignment now or is something bent. I have looked and I can’t see anything bent at all.

Sometimes it is because something bends like a tie rod or a-frame but sometimes it is because some prt of the steering shaft has slipped on a spline section that wasn't tight to start with....and CFM is well known for that. Check for any loose bolts on any of the splined pieces including the rack. If you fine one you will have to take it apart to re-set it. Don't count out the steering wheel either. I will also say that ruts are also known to bend the arms the tie rods attach to the knuckle on and that will also do this.
