Complete agreement. You paid for the eps EX model. You should get the one with eps or get a heck of a check back from him for the difference in the price.
I personally don't have EPS on mine and it steers just fine even in the thick of things. But I didn't pay for the option either!!

Why would they need to contact CFMoto? It was THERE mistake, they should be giving you a refund or swapping units. Its simple.

FYI: There is NO EPS kit. So if they tell you thats what they are trying to get you, they are pulling your leg. Here's why:

The EPS models have a different main wiring harness which includes a lead coming off of the ECU for the EPS control box. The plugs for the EPS control box and motor are also incorporated into it. The stator is also different. It puts out more wattage to support the extra draw from the EPS.

According to Chris Chu, there IS talks of either a mid production change, or a change in the 2017s where the NON-EPS models and EPS models all use the same wiring harness and stator and then create a kit for those who wish to convert later on. The downside is this will only help those who buy the models after the change.

Super ATV is supposed to coming out with one, but no ETA.

Great news that they said they'd make it right. I personally would opt for a refund of the difference maybe put it towards doors, lighting etc. Having a non eps model I can attest to the steering working well in everything I threw at it. Maybe make them a deal on extra set of tires or something they can make up the difference. Just an idea.

The Dealer advised me that CFMoto said that it wasnt Worth the Cost to Change it over with an OEM Power Steering unit,,, The Dealer said they would buy it back,,, However i settled on a Set of Doors (free),,,, My unit seem to work Great ,,, And down the road i will put an Aftermarket EPSunit on.
So All else considered,,, I guess i am happy,,,

I'd ask them to sweeten the deal. These guys are right. They're still about $500short. I'd ask for a set of tires as well.
Or let them "buy it back" and re sell it to you. Merely a paperwork deal.
At the end of the day, no matter what WE think, as long as YOU are happy with the deal.  You still have a great machine!
