So I'm at the farm Saturday working, ok more riding than working, but just piddling around mostly. Was running up the main road thru the farm headed to front food plot and all of the sudden the radio dies, machine starts sputtering and bogging down then stalls. So I tried to start it back up a couple of times then the whole dash died. Of course I didn't have my tool box with me so only had some basic tools in the truck so couldn't really check much. Pulled all the fuses and they all looked good, blades and main glass one on battery. Long story short loaded it up got it home to a volt meter and got to work. Main glass fuse on battery was bad, but conductor inside was not burned. So not really sure what happened there. Replaced it, fired it up, and everything seemed OK. Seems like it might be running a little rougher now so think I'm going to take it to the shop tomorrow when they open to get it looked at. Got a planned ride coming up in a couple of weeks so want to make sure all is well.
Wouldn't think just the stereo would have pulled that much power that it popped the fuse so just hoping it was a crappy fuse to start and just a loose connection on one end of the conductor. So is there anything else you guys have seen or I should check before I take it to the dealer an hour away?
