Just an FYI: Anytime you get a machine back from the dealer after having work performed and you notice a change for the worse or an error message appears (error code, idiot light, etc.) Notify the dealer and tell them you are bringing it back. That way, they can't say it was something YOU did. The longer you have it in your possession with it running sub-par, without the dealer (or whomever worked on it) the less of a leg you stand on.
This is definitly something the dealer caused by either doing something wrong, or by not doing something they should have. And they need to fix it on their own dime. If it was a part that should have been replaced, you may have to pay for the part. But the labor is on them.
And, I think THEY should come and pick it up and return it. But, that is just my wallet talking.
To get to the trails near my house, I do have to run on the paved roads for a couple of miles. And since my machine is new, I do have to vary the throttle levels, which I do. But, just for fun, I did increase the throttle to almost full and the speedometer did register over 65 mph. And, I was on the flat and level.
Notice, I did mention that the speedo REGISTERED 65 mph? My GPS tracker read closer to 60 mph. And on the just graded, mag chloride sprayed dirt roads I run on as well, to get to some distant parts of the Wolford Rec Area, I have also registered over 60 mph. (GPS tracker showed closer to 55-58+)
And, no, I do not run 4wd, I switch it off and only use it when needed. I did climb some pretty steep, rock strewn hills in 2wd that I was damn amazed my z800 trail got up with no problem. Only a couple of scrapes as I have learned to keep on the high side. (I do have an UHMW skid package on order)
