Looking at a zforce 800, 2018/2020?
« on: October 21, 2019, 02:12:34 PM »
Looking at these two model years, both are brand new.  The 2018 is 2k cheaper.  Is it worth it?  Any changes or updates from 18 to 20?  Any issues with either model?  They seem like a great machine except for the airbox design.  Is there an update or better system out there for this?

I believe the 18s didn't come with the new doors like the 19s+ and the new brake system starts on the 19s so..that's something to take into account...but also as I recall, starting in 2019 some of the things you used to get standard were going to be deleted like roofs, wenches...ect. Compare what you are getting on each compared to price. The rest...like drive train hasn't changed as I recall.

What is the change in brakes?
Different caliper and pad design..the rears also incorporate the parking brake where it was separate before.

Not really. They were weak, wore too fast, squeaked like hell and the slides seized up all the time. They needed a new design..IMO.

Had me thinking so I looked up the systems....the change was made in 2018 so there is really no big difference between the 18s and the 20s...save yourself 2K and get the 18.

You didn’t say what they are asking for the 2018. If it helps I gave $9699.00. 2018 zforce 800ex off the showroom floor back in August. The 2020s are out now so don’t be scared to negotiate on the 2018. You might get a better deal.

Nice. Go get it before it’s gone.  Is it an EX?  That’s better than my deal. 👍

You need to put a uni air filter on it before you ride it. Don’t believe that bull squeeze the dealer will tell you, that the filter is good. It’s not,it is junk. Number one reason this motors fail.

Depends on your usage  IMO. If you ride hard and lots of miles per year, yeah..I'd do it. But if you were like me..easy on it and less then 500 miles per year it wouldn't be worth it.

800-1000 miles a year.  4000+ over 5 years, I think it is worth it.  I am not one to go through water or mud.  I pick it up friday
