« on: November 29, 2016, 02:14:52 PM »
after driving a very dusty area -will it suck & clean the dust out?
Does the CVT unit  close on the other side?
I'm ttying cleanning it without openning the CVT casing.
8-)
No Risk No Fun.

No..well... not very much anyway. At least on my Z8 I have tried with a gas blower on the intake while having my shop vac on the discharge end...running and not running.. before opening and found that I may have got the loose stuff out but all the stuff packed in the primary and the back side of the secondary along with stuff laying on the bottom was still there. This is why I went to a full filter system on the intake.

But...I did not try putting a vacuum on the intake behind the seat so..give it a try and see. Can't hurt. :)

I'll give it a try  :-)
Lets say it will not take effect...is there any video or a link with good tutorial how to open the CVT cover & clean it?

You van always watch the clutching videos in the how to section. They will show what to remove. Basically seats, center and left-side plastics, left wheel and battery cover. Then you can take the cover bolts out.
