How to remove dash z800
« on: May 28, 2021, 12:11:04 PM »
Anyone know the process to remove the entire dash from a zforce 800? Looks like there are screws that are trapped that keep you from getting the bezel out.

Thanks!

There's a guy that did just that...take the complete dash out.. and he had pics. I think it's in the How-To section but not sure. Do a search.

It's involved.

Remove the front fenders, front roll bars, various fasteners under the dash and under the hood, and tilt the entire dashboard up and to the back. Then you will have access to everything.

That was me.  Not that bad.  About 20-30 minutes if you don't mess around.

Far as I know there are the two underneath and two on the back side that to get to you have to remove the storage tray to get to. I have never done it but Sockman has. I just know the two you see on the bottom isn't all of them.

20 minutes or so, tops.

Yes, the front of the cage needs to come off, the front storage bin out, all the clips around the top of the fenders, all the screws around the top (lamps, front plastic, etc).  It's really not that bad.  The whole front needs to be pushed towards the cabin, come up and over the front lower mounts for the front of the cage, and then just laid it back.  All the wiring is right there.  There is no other way to pull that dash out, no matter how simple you wish that should be.   ;D

It's really not that bad of a job.
