« on: October 11, 2015, 10:38:23 PM »
Hey guys, anyone got a L.E.D. replacement bulb for the z8 headlights? I want to get a bulb that matches the bright white color of my lightbar...
Thanks :D

I haven't seen one yet listed for it. What I have done in the past was to pull the bulb and find out what type of base they used. Once I know that, I can find all sorts of bulbs to choose from.

That's my plan.... just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had done it yet.. ;)

If you come up with something good make sure you do a writeup on it. I think leds would be a nice upgrade.

I believe that the low beam is an H3 and high beam is an H7. Both 55w.

I pulled them out and they are h1 and h7, both 55 watts.  I ordered some 6000k standard bulbs as the led bulbs I was finding where long compared to stock. My goal was to match my led light bar color so that should be fine...

Sweet.... big difference in light output?
I thought about getting 100 watt bulbs but I would not want to run them on the factory wiring harness. I would get an aftermarket one with a relay set up to power them.... for now, the 6000k factory wattage replacements will do.. the light bar is super bright and my main goal was to just match the color because I'm  OCD about stupid shite like that!!! Lol

My cforce 550 EPS EFi has Bulb type HB3 or 9005 :-) on both low-beam and high-beam :-) I recently purchased and replaced the stock 60w halogen low-beam bulb by LED 90W, 9200 lumen and 6000 kelvin. For the High-beams I chose 100W 6000 kelvin xenon kit. LED in low-beam is definitely recommended by me coz of the difference from that of the stock halogen bulbs. No doubt about that! The xenon on the other hand is a very good upgrade from the stock halogen bulb but I found out that it has a considerably long delay when turning the light ON. The igniting process of the bulb takes about 15 to 25 seconds and it is at full brightness and color after about a minute from the time one switched ON. Så am thinking of changing it by LED real soon. :-)

* to be continued...
