Some models just have a tank cent that was wrapped around the upper frame support.
Full tank would cause it to vent heavily and fuel smell would enter cab. CFMOTO got smacked hard in the USA for breaking this rule. No Evap system
If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

Great...Well, I guess I will just have to start looking it over. It only happens in the heat of the desert and after about a 1/2-hours of running the woops and hills.

Ones the smell get worse if the fuel level gets lower? Just wondering if the lower the fuel level in the tank....the more fumes are obviously in the tank.....hence heat and riding whoops causing more fumes to vent. Not that this solves your problem just wondering if that's where it is starting. I almost never leave without the tank being topped off , and I never get that gas smell.

Does seem like I start getting the fumes after I use about a half-gallon or so and only after being thrown around on the woops. I never get it in the mountains.

Found it. It was the vent. Apparently the tank has a check valve that I am guessing is like others in that its supposed to let air in so the pump doesn't create a vacuum on the tank but shuts under pressure..but mine is leaking by just a bit, enough to send some raw fuel to the top of the hose under the right conditions and out onto the frame behind the plastics on the passenger side. I can see the tell-tail signs on the frame there. Looks like that check isn't replaceable so I may put one in-line and re-rout that line somewhere else..somewhere more open to air flow away from the cab.

And just FYI, for you guys that are going in deep water, it looks like that vent tube goes straight up and stops and if so, if you get into water that's near the bed level, that tube will fill with water and get sucked into the tank. This is another thing that needs put at with the snorkels. It also has nothing on the end and it's in that dirty area with the intake tube so..it can get junk into it and possibly the tank as well. It needs a baby filter on it minimum...and relocated.. :)

So going to check mine now, didn't notice it before, maybe it's the power of suggestion but did smell a slight gas fumes when riding yesterday.

Really hard to see and get to. You can see and feel the line coming off the check valve looking back under the airbox with the front cover off, and see the line going up looking over the top of the airbox.

Had the same problem. Light smell after 400 miles and got progressively stronger. Removed the passenger seat and found the black ring on top of the tank loose. Just snugged it up by hand. Someone said to be careful not to strip it. It does look as though it would be easy to do accidentally. Try tightening it by hand first.
Had a 2017 Zforce 800EX, traded to a 2020 Uforce 800

Mine was a little loose but didn't leak. I did tighten it with a hammer and screwdriver..very hard and it didn't break. Actually took the pump assembly out once..forget why...think I though I had water or something in the tank but didn't. Even took some pics...gota take pics...right?
