Hey guys, quick question.  I recently picked up a 2016 800ex eps and for some reason the driver seat wont slide back as far as the passenger side seat.  I checked the alan head bolts underneath and they were all the way "back".  I thought about swapping seats from one side to the other but i haven't done so yet. It looks like the driver side seat bolts only go back about half way and stop on 2 positions, the other 2 positions, they are at full adjustment. Does this sound normal? I really wouldn't care but I'm 6'2 and my knee cap usually smacks the corner of the dash quite often.  Another inch would probably do me a lot of good.  Thanks in advance!

My son is 6'5" and has no problems fitting in mine.  I will check when i get home if no one else has answered your question.  I have done no special modification to mine either.  out of curiosity how close is the seat back to the rear cage cross bar. Several of us have had the seat wear the powder coat off the rear roll bar cross bar (directly behind the seat) so that will tell us if your seat is as far back as the rest of ours.

The driver seat has at least an inch between the backrest and the crossbar, I can fit my hand in-between them. The passenger side seat lays against it.

mine definitely moved back. the seat is resting against the bar in the back. I got about an inch of movement out of my seat from the way it was, and when I got it the seat was barely touching the bar in the back. Sounds like you should have adjustment left. I get home in about 45 minutes I'll take a couple pictures for you of how mine looks. I also have a 2016

Here is a picture of the bottom of my drivers seat.  The front of the seat is facing down like you tipped the seat forward.  The seat bottom is all the way back and hitting the rear allen adjusters. The front slots won't bottom or on the allens the way the slots are set up.

Here is the bottom of mine. For some reason, two allens are in the middle and not all the way back. It's not like that on the other seat, they are like the ones on your driver seat. I did swap the two seats and now they are both about 1/4" away from the cross bar.

Hmm,  i wonder if the right and left seats are designed a little bit different.  Do you have more room with them swapped now?

Mine were like that. I extended the rear slots to get more out of it...then discovered the seat back hit the bar...so not wanting to loose leg room....and that extra inch really helps, I pulled the screws on the back and added some washers to the uppers ones to tilt it forward enough to give me 1/2" off the bar. Works great.

@redrider yeah i probably squeezed out another 3/4" from swapping.

@kawie im guessing to expand the slots you used something like a drill to make the slots longer?

Yeah you wouldn't think that inch or so would make that much difference but it sure does...and why the back slots are shorter then the front I just don't understand. But with a little time, a decent file and some washers you can make some pretty good seating. Heck I'm just 5'7" and it was tight for me. Can't even imagine what it would be like for you 6'+ guys.

I just recently midified my seat and prob only got a extra 1" but when you need all you can get that 1" makes more of a difference then youd think. Im 6' even but already had limitations with my hip as far as range motion goes well I was in a bad car accident October 15-16 that shattered my hip and knee so now im only at 70 degrees with left hip (120 plus is normal ) and my knee is around 120 with (130 being normal)  so modifying the seat brackets helped for sure. My back part seat it tight against roll bar.
