EX door removal
« on: August 12, 2022, 04:47:12 PM »
Hi all. This is my first post.

I'm thinking about buying a new Z Force 800, either EX or Trail. I'm wondering how easy or hard it is to remove a door, reason being that the trailer I'll use to haul it occasionally is only 6' wide between 20" high side walls. I figure I can squeeze in/out of a Trail model but no way the EX. If removing/installing a door is a five minute job with a wrench or two, I'd prefer the EX model for the extra stability.

Thanks for any and all help.

6' wide is 72". The trails are 53" max.. and the EXs are 60". Either will fit with no problems but..if it has a ramp, it needs to be at least a 10' long trailer. No less then 9'4"

Yes, I know either will fit between the trailer walls. My question was about being able to climb in/out of the vehicle when it's between the trailer walls. I wouldn't be able to open a door on the EX, since I'd only have about 5-6" per side, maybe 8" if I park off center in the trailer. I'm slim but i ain't gonna squeeze through a 6-8" opening.

Looking at the pictures of the machine, I could probably climb in through the opening above the door. I'm 74, but pretty slim and agile. Thoughts on that?

Just go to the dealership and measure the door height. They don't come off all that easy..just bolts bit Chinese..won't last.
