DIY Upgrade to your Skid Plate
«

I purchased a sheet of HPDE 1/2"x36"x96" to upgrade the stock Skid Plate.
I paid $150 for the sheet.

They have warehouses all over the country.
I will post more pics of it as I get it cut out and ready to install.
It will look similiar to this one on ebay but I plan on doing extension in the front and rear under the differentials.

I finally cut it out and drilled all of the holes in it!
I decided to stay with the stock pattern.

Nice job. Man that looks thick. Should hold up well.

Looks strong. 2-3 times as thick as the OE. Hope the anti-slip pattern doesn't hang it up too often going over logs and stuff. Guess they could be ground-off if needed.

I thought about grinding the anti-slip pattern off but I decided against it when I saw a company selling a 3/4" HPDE Skid Plate.
If they do cause me to hang up, I will grind them down.
