I pulled my factory skid plate in preparation to install my Ricochet skid plates and discovered that both boots on the drive shaft slip joints are cracked and rapidly deteriorating.  My machine is a 2020 that I picked up brand new last summer and only has 277 miles on it.  This has to be due to bad rubber or manufacturing.  Because these slip joints are covered by the skid plate it's not easy to inspect.  I posted this so others would be aware and check their boots.  The dealer is taking a look at them this week.

You know come to think of it, I don't think my 2015 even had them..because I remember wiggling the shafts and seeing the amount of slop in the splines and thinking.."WTF"

Well it's funny because I posted this issue on the CF Moto Owners Facebook page and got totally flamed and accused of being a troll by a couple of assholes.  I guess they thought I was trying to trash the brand and accused me of lying and stated the zip ties in the photo were suspect and sketchy.  I couldn't believe it!  I was just trying to make people aware of the issue.

Won't get that here...most here are realists...we know these have some real shortcomings. That's also why the other CF Moto forum doesn't communicate with us much. We don't put CF Moto on a pedestal. We just want to hear about what needs attention..to make it a better and more dependable ride....and of course the fun people are having with them. Fortunately a lot of this sub-standard stuff can be replaced with better stuff. I don't mean to trash the machine..just the mindset they use to bring their products to market at such a low cost. It isn't just CFM, it's the way China does about everything. CF Moto is OK and getting better all the time..and we recognize that. Today's ATVs and UTVs are so much better then they were just a few years ago.

Funny...the breakdown for the 2015 shows the same boots but I'm pretty sure mine doesn't have them on it.
