I have a 2017 800 ex when I went to plow the other day it would turn over but not start I checked all fuses and checked spark... all fine it will run with shots of starter fluid but then dies and I hear the fuel pump prime every time any ideas on how and what to dia next thanks

May have water in the system that has frozen or there's something wrong with the fuel pump. If you have spark, then the CPS is working so put it in somewhere warm for a few hours. Fuel filters collect water and when frozen prevents fuel from getting through. Its behind the air box.

So it has been in the garage since Monday morning still same problem. There are 2 factors in this problem 1 I was low on fuel and added some older gas that was running in my sons go cart. The sxs started Sunday night and was running until I turned on my light bar (witch didn't turn on) then it shut off it started up again i tried the light bar again same thing then it wouldn't start found a broken connection in the light bar wire but the inline fuses (25a) was not blown. I fully disconnected the light but have only gotten suspicious to run with shots of starter fluid.

Why would any light bar have a 25 amp fuse? That's more then the unit's main fuse. I'll bet there's more then a bad AUX relay now. Still..pull the fuel line and see how much pressure and volume it has at the injectors. Maybe that old gas had water or trash in it that has plugged something..hopefully not the injectors.

Yeah stupid me never looked at what was in it from factory its a 42in curved light bar off Amazon that has its own relay I will be picking up a fuel pressure tester and checking that. I will probably need to make more post for other items but on a side note ever since I bought this back in August when I did work on it I would connect the negative terminal first than as I was connecting the positive if my wrench hit the frame or the cvt cover it would spark does this mean the sxs is not properly grounded

Something clearly wrong. The negative cable from the battery always connects to the engine case and as the engines are rubber mounted, there are several chassis and/or systems grounds that also connect to the engine case..usually on the forward CVT/Belt cover. You might have an issue there but first ensure you are wiring it correctly first.

Just put a new fuel filter in ( WIX 33095) in and tested. The pump is putting about 47psi to the new filter and still no start and now I can hear a squeal and fuel draining back down or the sound of air in the line when I turn the key off. What would be the next step I feel like checking to see the injectors have power would help but how do I properly test for that. Thanks

If it were mine I would test the fuel pressure at the injectors just to be sure. I also guess I would test the CPS..aka engine speed sensor.

I will check at the injectors and do you mean CPS as in crank position sensor or did you mean a speed sensor and how would you check that I have a voltage meter

In some manuals CFM calls the CPS an engine speed sensor. The service manual tells how to test it.

Advice unasked for but offered with best intentions: Please avoid using starter fluid in a gas engine, as there is no more effective substance at removing the essential oil film on cylinder walls and rings and thus greatly accelerating wear, as starting fluid/ether. I use it to remove all traces of fingerprint oil on freshly machined surfaces, it's that good a solvent.
I once watched a guy cranking over a Harley while he then sprayed starter fluid in the carb. The motor immediately began to turn over at half the former rate!
A shot of straight fresh gasoline in the intake of a motor that is suspected of having a fuel delivery issue, works as well as ether and is much safer. I'll shut up now.
