What is the largest tire I can get on 800 EX?

without a lift? I think 29. with a lift? 30-32 and bigger I suppose. Though you have a lot more things to think about than just what size tire "fits" you have to worry about clutching, if the added stress on the parts is worth is or not, weight of the tires. how fast you drive if you are worried about raising your center of gravity.

Agreed...so much to consider.. along with all that added stress to Chinese parts.

That is why I said safe tire size. Can I use a 29 with out stressing the drive train too much. I am just trying increase the ground clearance for trail riding. I don't drive fast, only trail driving

I run 29's with the clutch set to c1 position, also dr pulley 25 gram sliders, works great with no problems.

Yeah with the right clutch setup... and a splash of trail-sense, the 29s should be OK.

If you only want ground clearance I would suggest a shock bracket lift, I have another post around here where I put rzr 800 lift kit on mine for $50, requires a little fabrication but works and you won't have to clutch it if you don't want to. I plan to run 27inch dirt commanders at some point. but the lift got me 2-2.5 inches of ground clearance, exactly what I was looking for.

The clutch kit sounds interesting. By adding the 2 inch suspension lift does it put the axels in a bind.

No I have found no issue, when the wheels are hung the axles are still at an acceptable angle for me and turn freely.  If you want to clutch it anyway and only need an inch or two more of clearance, by all means go bigger on the tire. I needed about 2 inches and I didn't want to sacrifice the power by adding large tires after some thinking. They get very heavy 28inch and up unless you use a light tire like the mudlites, but that type of tire is not what I want to run for my style riding, so I went with the lift. I can easily remove it in about 15 minutes if I want to for whatever reason. even after I tac weld it in, I will be sure I can grind those welds right quick. I also may add a different set of holes to the brackets for a smaller lift which is very easy to do.

Just got the kit for the rzr to put on our 800 zforce. What is the best way to put on the rear? Assuming that they need to go on the top of the shock for the rear sets,correct? Please let me know if you are willing to help. Thanks

On the rear for mine, I still placed on the bottom. I grinded the bottoms to allow hole alignment and place one on the outside and one inside. I know it seems scary seeing one look to just hang out but it hasn't budged yet.  Around 200 miles on it since putting it on.  May get down there and tack weld it one day but as of now with hitting hard ruts and rough trail, it's not budged.  Impacted tight.
