Cracked Front Upper A-Arms
« on: October 17, 2016, 08:21:07 PM »
740 miles...jacked up front and noticed some sloppiness in front end on drivers side. Lower shock bolt loose and slightly egged hole, but the major worry is that the upper A-Arms are cracked at the welds where the lower shock mount is welded to it. Took tire off passenger side, same cracking in the same area. Making a call to the dealer tomorrow...

Willychupela, your profile pic looks like the tunnel under 81 by Mosca.  Am I right?  It's hard to tell with such a small picture.

I may be off base here but are the cracks in the actual steel or is it just the paint that's cracked?

gfmoto - they are being warranted. Should have the new ones this week.

bezerk1 - you are correct. been through there several times. grew up in that area and know those trails like the back of my hand

zforce800 - the steel is cracked. photos were sent to the dealer who forwarded them to CF who said they would warranty it.

Yes, good to hear. The downtime sucks, but at least cfmoto is honoring the damage.

Had the same issue last year on my 2015 Zforce 800.  Didn't get any assistance from a dealer on the cracked A-arm cost me $650.  Said i hit a bump to hard?? Didn't make sense to me at the time but needed my machine for elk season so paid it.  Wonder if they are being warrantied if I have any recourse?
