Hey all, I have a question regarding seat removal. The release broke and will not unlatch. there isnt much room back there. Any ideas on how to get it to release?

Hey all, I have a question regarding seat removal. The release broke and will not unlatch. there isnt much room back there. Any ideas on how to get it to release?

Assuming just the plastic handle broke and there is still a piece of it left in the latch, get something with a near-90 degree bend and flat, like a small nail bar and slip it in on the underside of the broken latch piece and pry up. That may release the retainer wire and allow the seat to slip off the pin.

Yes, it seems only the plastic broke. I will try what you have suggested. Thanks!
