Clutch and tires
« on: March 29, 2022, 07:49:08 PM »
so Im ready too upgrade my tires and clutching on my 2017 zforce 800 ex. Im going for 28s or 29s but Im unsure on the clutching. I understand how to take it apart and such. But was wondering what you all recommend I do with the clutch? Also any help would be appreciated.

Also, Im looking at the zforce 1000 high clearance a arms. Do they fit the 800 ex. I think they do, but more opinions are welcomed.

Im sure this topic is discussed a lot.
Just couldnt find the right one.

With 28s or 29s you will want to reclock the secondary to B2 and at some point go with the 24gram Dr Pulley sliders in the primary. We have videos in the how-To section.  Yes, the 1000's a-arms will fit the 800 EX.

The only other parts that could probably be replaced is the cam plate guides if loose. As for the sliders..yeah becoming a PITA to find as although still available through Dr. Pulley, not always listed in that weight. I get mine through Scooter Assassins ebay store. Another ebay supplier it this one..just tell them you want 24gram sliders.

Here is a link to Scooter Assassins ebay store. Contact them and tell them you need a set of 8-30x18, 24 gram Dr Pulley sliders for your ZForce 800. They can get them.

You can also order direct from Dr Pulley and that's looks to be the best deal. Here's a link. They are 30x18mm, there are 8 of them and you want 24gram in the classic design if you ride from sea level to about 5000 feet. If you ride up to about 9000 feet regularly then consider the 23gram and above that 22s. I ride up to 12,000 feet so I use the 22s but its been a while so I think I'll go with 23s or 24s next time around.
