I was able to order the doors that come with the 1000s from my dealer.  They were expensive, but very easy to install on my 800EX and look great.  I've included pictures and the installation instructions.

I have the plain black doors. I love them. It gives you plenty of room.  I am thinking about getting my doors wrapped to match the color scheme of mine. Or have my wife use her cricut machine and make something with stick on vinyl

I got the same doors in Orange to match my ride, and have to agree it's great to not have that netting to get tangled getting in and out. They aren't cheap, but worth it .horseman77,aka Wayne

Looks nice.  Why not the full doors I have seen others get?

Myself and some others live in desert conditions , most of the year I want more ventilation. The few and wonderful mild months I'll just enjoy the coolness.😈 Wayne

Well, I jumped back and forth sitting in different door equipped CF Motos at an outdoors show where a dealer had examples of a couple of aftermarket full doors and the 1000 with the CFM doors, and I had a good chance to compare them.
The metal doors both had a really tinny sort of 'chong' sound when slammed shut whereas the CFM doors had a solid feel to them and engaged with a firm satisfying click. The latches of the tin doors were rather like gate latches and one side already needed readjustment to make perfect a very narrow engagement range. The movement was not ergonomically natural, a bolt had to be slid laterally toward a hole and it looked like adjustment would be a frequent chore. Or lift the door a bit every time you close it so that the bolt lines up.
One of the tin door latch designs engaged a long bolt that stuck out toward the rear from the front of the door opening, looking like things would snag on it. Like clothing, people and knees. The CFM doors used a flat inset plate operated by the thumb to open, and uses a shallow loop of round stock to engage the striker, nothing that can hurt you.

As I have nagged about before, aftermarket door makers all seem to think the doors upper margin should be at least the height of the bodywork front and back, and that lends at least to me, the feeling of sitting in a bucket. The CFM doors are lower and offered, at least to me, a more comfortable and natural arm rest.

I don't have problems with stuff coming in the cab right now with the netting 'doors', (or no netting when I am guilty of not going through the unwrap stretch and click routine every time I get in) so I don't see half doors being any worse in that way.
And the CFM doors look better, to my eye at least. :)
So jumping back and forth confirmed for me that the CFM doors would be my choice.
Orange, please.  8)

Well thanks a ton sf, you were more valuable to me than you know. My door kit arrived intact and complete except for... instructions! Thanks to the PDF file you sourced I was able to print out the eight pages, and that took a great deal of guesswork out that I'd otherwise have had to do.

My installation went with barely a hitch. Other than it was hot enough outside to fry an egg. Thank goodness for ice and cider, even though that's why I am typing this with one finger, and one eye covered. 8)

Big ol box of parts

There she is. I decided to scuff off the CF Moto decals, make it look like all one idea.
Except the CV tech clutch one. Canadian pride, you know. :)

Very Nice!  8) It is a very good design & well built.

I'm curious how the installation of the latch went on the front pillar?

You're a canny man. :) That was the one wrinkle in the install. The kit includes an inner brace to strengthen the latch loop's mounting spot and this fixes the loop bracket to the square downtube found inside the front fender. These brackets weren't quite true and when the 6MM bolts for the latch loop were installed temporarily to locate the bolts in their holes, the bracket was found not to be exactly the right angle. If the brace were tightened down as supplied without the loop bolts in place, the holes would be way off. The simplest correction was to shim the bracket. These pics are the driver side. It needed .122" of shim to be perfect, the passenger side needed less, .060".

For the rest of the kit, I found the fit and finish to be impressive.

Tx's for that, I wondered of the Gremlins mounting it. You dealt with it easily  8)

Those look nice!  Really like the "non-tub" look of them, and the fact that you don't have to lose that shoulder bracket.  Wasn't planning on spending any more money on this machine this year, but that is awfully tempting.

U.S. folks, what are the dealers asking for this kit?
