There was a company I had met and took some time to talk to while at the St. Helen ORV Jamboree this year. We had spoken about having them do a clutch kit for the CFMoto line.

I hadnt heard from them after the show and decided they werent interested. I was approached by them over the weekend, and they are interested in doing something for the CFMoto ZForce 800s! We will be working with them shortly to get a unit down to them.

Now, these clutches are expensive. They are built from the ground up. They currently do a wet clutch delete for the Arctic Cats which they would do for the CFMoto. Go check out the videos for the Arctic Cat Wildcat to see how its done (very easy btw).

A wet clutch delete would be expensive, Yes. There is the price of the new clutch and all the machined parts to go with it. Running small batches of parts can get expensive and they will need to charge quite a bit to cover their costs. If someone really had issues with the wet clutch or wanted more power to the ground than this might be a good option for them. I was thinking of making one up for myself but even the cost of the new primary has put me off it for now.

this wouldnt be a limited production run. They plan on doing this and making these clutches for their product line.

if you want the video for the arctic cat wet clutch delete... there are actually ZERO new parts.

What the wet clutch does is this:
Removes the wet-clutch shoe pack & bell housing. Retains the stock wet clutch cover and seal.

The new primary clutch has a longer splined shaft off the back that slides through the stock seal in the wet-clutch cover (where the bell housing shaft would come through) and connects directly to the crank shaft.

This eliminates power loss & slipping associated with wet clutch set ups. I can tell you from tearing my unit down after it blew, the wet clutch shoe pack and bell housing were already significantly worn after only 600 miles. I can feel mine slipping slightly on take off now after putting 700 miles on the current wet clutch.

With SuperATV coming out with lift (hopefully we will see it this winter), and users wanting to put larger tires on these, getting rid of the wet clutch will be crucial.

These new clutches will be tuneable. Far more than ours, and parts will be available right here in the US instead of having to try and find DR. Pulley rollers from Taiwan, which dont offer much as far as tuning goes.

This must be different than what I have seen. The cats I saw were using Trailbloc primarys. They used a plate with the spline in it then attached another spindle with the taper on it for the clutch to mount. What clutch are they going to use.

Their own. They design them from the ground up. All aluminum. All the parts are made in house. I've seen their clutches in person, and I've seen their demo units in action over the summer. Their clutches are no joke.

Cruise their web site, watch the videos, especially the ones regarding the Arctic Cat Wildcat. Their wet-clutch delete "kit" is very simple, and eliminates parts, not replaces.

I never could quite understand why they put all that junk on the inside of the engine anyway. Polaris has and others too have had EBS just utilizing the one-way bearing and it works.
I've still got my '14 Massimo 800 and I put a cvtech trailbloc w/ one-way on it and it took a lil tuning to get it to where I wanted, again my Polaris has me spoiled, It has engine braking down to about 1500 rpm and that's what I wanted it to do on this compared to 2000-2200 rpm's.
On your Z800's ,how difficult is it to get the clutch cover off?
On mine ,you have to physically remove the fuel tank to get the cover off.

pretty easy. The only challenge I might run into is getting the secondary off the unit with the motor in frame, but we will see when the time comes.

They WILL be making a kit. I was told to expect the pricing to be around the same as the Arctic Cat wet clutch delete system, and the replacement secondary, if you chose to replace that as well (its recommended), will again be the same or similar pricing.
