Under 35 miles stalled twice mil4 light on
« on: April 02, 2017, 01:34:08 AM »
Just bought the zforce 800 just before the large snow fall in NY. Took it out on the snow cover roads to break it in. Never hit the gas more then half way. Just about 30 miles on the machine it stalled twice and the MIL 4 light was on. It did get me home, I looked everything over and everything seemed fine. The light went off and I Talk to the dealer and decided to take back out for another ride. I now have around 50 miles and it hasn't stalled. Some times while starting it the MIL 4 light is on until I start it.

Gas was brand new non ethanol in brand new gas can.

Any information / suggestion or advice from anyone out there ?

Thanks everyone for all input.

Does the Mil4 light go out when it starts?
Once the engine starts the Mil4 light should go out.

If it has Pistons or Tits you will encounter problems.

I few of us have had random stalling issues when coming off idle or going from drive to reverse or reverse to drive. If the engine is off and the key is on the lights should light up that would be normal, a mil light being on would only be a problem while the engine is running. If it was not on while it was running and only came on after it stalled and the key was still in the on position that would be normal. The stalling thing nobody can figure out but it seems to happen less as you get miles on it.

That is pretty much exactly the layout of the issue you posted. Sounds like it is not an issue with the sensor or reading anything wrong with computer.

Thanks for the information
