Big Check up after 5500 km
« on: March 04, 2018, 12:51:12 PM »
Hi, since the spring are coming here and the trails are closed I have take the time to perform a complete check up of my ZFORCE 800 trail 2015. I have 5500 km an it’s my time for some maintenance..
What I have found

The good
- Compression are at 160 psi on both cylinders
-Valves clearance are in spec (never adjusted)
- spark plug very clean (my air/fuel is set between 12.5-13 depending of the rpm)
- Clutch are very clean
- belt are like new
- all front bushing are still very tight (never changed)
- driveshaft and axles have no play.

The bad:
- 1 rear shocks are leaking badly
- 1 exhaust donuts are shot
- 1 rear wheels bearings have a little play.
- small oil leak from the chain tensionner

Overall I am ok with that. Like I have said in other post I run this machine in race style 90% of the time.
Now I will put my energy to improve the rear suspension.

Thanks

That you run it hard and still have such relatively little (almost no) trouble gives me great confidence to hear. Bravo!

Yes, exept for the rear shocks all is normal wear. I have forget to mention that the rear brake pad are shot (normal I think)
