Well my thermo sensor finally failed 1200 miles

I went it to remove it by removing upper radiator hose from the top access panel,  made it easy to get to the thermister.  I jumped the wires ( by pasted the Thermo sensor) and the fan immediately came on !!

I hate to put another CFmoto part in there as it seems they are prone to fail.  I saw a post that said use a Honda Cvic part....  but did not list a part number.

Can anyone provide the part number of a good replacement thermo switch ?

I dont want to put a flip switch in th circuit as I should not have to but this is an easy way to leave you stranded in the woods if temps start to max out .

Thanks
Ken

I went on NAPA online its actually  ATM 1435040  Went to my local NAPA store it has to be ordered from the factory  plus shipping for a total cost around $35.

There is a CFMOTO dealer near me  he has it for $22   hopefully wont fail again

I put in a New CFMOTO part $22 but just in case.   I also added a switch to manually over ride just in case this one fails too.
$11 piece of mind while out on the trail.  I suggest doing it while you have it apart.

1) I removed the upper radiator hose and be ready with a gallon jug to catch Antifreeze
2) Remove thermo switch cover, then with a deep socket remove the Thermo switch.
3) remove the thick gasket mine staid on the Radiator , I took off and put onto the new thermo switch  I also left on the fine SO-ring that came with the new thermo switch.  tightened all back up  .  soldered in 2 wires about 5" from connector and ran it to the dashboard and installed new switch.  electrical tapped over the solder connection  and tested...key on throw switch and fan came on .

buttoned all back up filled new antifreeze and test drove ....just after 3rd bar came on I heard the fan kick on so appears all good with man over ride capabilities in place for piece of mind.

PS  Really helps if you have a second person hold the flashlight from top or bottom while you work opposite of it.

Shoot me a message with any questions you have about it .

Good information, our machine's fan/sensor seems to be working fine but it only runs if the key is in the run position, is this normal.
If you turn the key off the fan goes off as well which seems like it should still run and try and cool down at least for a short time.

It's normal. Although the switch does not supply power for the fan motor, it does supply power for the relay's coil.
