Yes,  You're right David!

I had Mark A and mark 1 = Black bearings

Mounted New crank and bearings this weekend. But need new Head gaskets to complete the rebuild.

Meanwhile waiting on the head gaskets I made a Multi special tool. The tool works for both the CVT and clutch. You just flip it around :) And helps a lot when torquing down the engine without damages. (You need 3 different special tools from CF-moto to do this otherwise)

That tool is awesome. Simple and looks like you can crank them out on a plasma cutter. Might be a money maker for you if you wanted.

That's some nice fabricating right there.

Hello! :)

Good news! Today I finally finished my rebuild! :) The engine spinns beautifully now! I even took "her" for a long ride.
But no full throttle, the engine is still under "break in" so I will be careful for the next 10 hours or so.

Please be careful when mounting the crankcases together! After I mounted the cylinders I found one shim washer on the floor.
I had to split the crankcase again and put it back, it was a washer for the low gear. Luckily I had not mounted the engine on the UTV when I discovered it :) But still I lost like 4 hours of work by this misstake. So be careful.

I talked with R.J.W.C (The manufacturer of the trimbox and slip-on system) and they have sold over thousands of system without any reports of severe damage. There boxes only adjusts the fuel flow and together with the slip on system the engine shall run much smoother and gives a better mixture than the original system. So i decided to keep it on.

I think the cause of the failing bearing was too hard driving during the break-in period. As I said earlier, I will ride it easy now for a couple of hours and gradually increase to full throttle. Please wish me luck it will survive longer this time!  :)
