Anyone tried a coops mod on the Z8?
« on: January 29, 2016, 01:42:12 PM »
Hi all. I just wondering if anyone has tried a coops mod on there z8?
Coops mod 1 is what I'm looking at.
I did it on my quadzilla RS8 with great results running larger tires.

Basically by spacing out the secondary the belt drops lower reducing the gearing. My rs8 factory tires were 25 inch but I wanted to run 28's I noticed the taller gearing with them and the coops mod 1 almost mad it feel stock on the 28's.

I've got xpk1 tyres on my z8. 29's
I'm thinking about racing it so would like the performance back but keeping the 29 inch big horns.

Any help appreciate. .

Also I can't seem to find the tread with the clutching info?  See something of a b2 setting.. is this something that could work with a coops mod?

Cheers

I'm not sure the Coops Mod will work with this type of primary but..if you have not adjusted your secondary for the larger tires, you need to. You will feel all your power back.. and them some. Do the B2..asap  :)  Look in the How-Tos for the "CFMoto Clutching" thread.
