Amazon.ca has them
I checked them first..did find any UP-6229st.

https://www.amazon.ca/UNI-Two-Stage-Filter-Length-UP-6229ST/dp/B000UKI2PU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=255DM6KMU5WWG&keywords=up-6229st+uni+filter&qid=1645239844&sprefix=up-6229st+unifilter%2Caps%2C55&sr=8-1

Interesting that when you switch the country to US, it's not listed. I guess there are thing you can get in Canada that you can't in the US...through Amazon anyway...lol

Ya it’s all about where the seller is  I guess
If I can’t find something on the Canadian one I’ll switch the the USA one an a lot of times they’ll ship to Canada for a small fee of course lol

That's the OE paper..yes, it's killing your engine. A properly oiled Unifilter is the only way to go.

I’m not saying your wrong, I just don’t understand that comment. Cfmoto sells a crap ton of these things and they don’t just blow up if you run the OEM filters. If they did they would chance them to something else. I personally have three of them. I check the filter at every oil change on my machines. I’ve never seen one have dirt or dust inside it. Most of the time my appear under the foam isn’t even dirty. I have a brand new one in a box that fits all of mine. I haven’t had to use it yet. I can’t wrap my head around the common statement that the OEM filter is not only bad, but hurting engines.

Go a head..keep using it..and if you ride in dusty conditions, prepare to join the thousands of CFM owners that had to rebuild their top ends in under 1200 miles..or other mild-dust riders that only got 2000 miles. But do yourself..and your engine one favor, next time you pull that filter off, take a long, clean cotton swab and reach into the intake track and give it a good swab. Then take a good look at it. It's not the stuff that gets stuck to the walls that's a problem, its the stuff..that doesn't. Maybe CFM now makes a better filter..maybe not. For over 6 years they make filters that let 50micron and smaller particulates get through and knew it..and did nothing about it..presumably because it kept parts sales up...where the real money is. It's up to you. All we can do is offer our collective experience and post it. What anyone does after that.. is all on them.

Again, I’m not saying your wrong. Wasn’t trying to challenge your experience. Only stating that I didn’t understand and I do appreciate you explaining it to me. As I said, with my little experience I have not seen anything in the inside of the filter housing or intake tube. I did not swab it though. Only visually inspected with a flashlight. So is Uni the recommendation here? Is so which part number. Looks like some guys are running different numbers.

Well..swab it and take a close look even if it takes a magnifying glass. If nothing..then there's nothing to worry about. But if there is..consider the Unifilter and a quality foam filter oil/treatment. Also consider some foam filter oils are not drying-down to the sticky resin they should and are being pulled-into the intake track, coating the Temp/Mass airflow sensor...which is cleanable with the proper cleaner. Two that don't do this is Maxima's Fab1 & FFT and BelRay. The Unifilter oil will. Only use oils for foam filters..not gauze filters like K&N which are just a light oil.

The listed filter we have for all the 500s-800s is UP6229st which are getting harder to find. Can still order straight from Unifilter. You can also use the angled one which ends with "ast". I run a much larger Uni in the air box but had to adapt it back to 2.25" and run the standard UP6229st in the can filter. Yes, that's two. But if you saw what was in my intake track after just 200 miles...and I even changed out the factory filter after the first oil change to another new CFM paper filter..you would be as concerned. Not only was the tube coated with visible dirt, but it had caked-up at the "Y" on some edges. You would think I wasn't running a filter at all...but it is very dusty here. Got it all out with small tools & brushes and an adapted fuel line on my shop vac. Lord knows how much engine life was lost in that brief 200 miles but...ever sense the Unifilter(s)..there has been nothing in the intake track.

This is from mine with 20 hours on it. Around 150-200 miles. Didn’t pay that close attention as I service mine by engine hours not miles.

I did a bunch of research and watched a bunch of videos on the uni filters. I didn’t know there was a problem with the factory one. I cost me $36.99 plus shipping to buy a factory Cfmoto air filter that is a throw away. I ordered 3 uni ut-6229st foam filters for $71 shipped. I’ll use them if only because it’s actually cheaper. There are so many differing opinions on how to oil them though! I hope they come with instructions.

One will last about 3-4 years before the foam starts to go bad.. and/or about 50 cleanings using what the oil manufacturer recommends..not what people say you can get away with. Just spray or put on..and inside enough that you can work it all the way through and coat every cell, both layers. Then grab 2-3 paper towels and stuff them inside..give it a light wringing twist to grab and excess that could be pulled in. Then install the outer layer and let dry for a while. I set mine in the sun for an hour. Then install. Keep the ones you are not using in a zip-loc bag in a cool, dark place. You can pre-treat them and they will stay good and sticky for several months.

Make sure to put a nice piece of pipe in there and get rid of that plastic adapter. Cut to fit. I think I did mine at 3" and used a dremel tool to take off the plastic ridge inside the intake tube.

I used maxima fab1. That is some nasty stuff. I guess it was worse for me because I was doing three at a time. I had to grind off the ring on the connection between the air filter and air box on the 4 wheelers but the Zforce slide right in.
