This is what I found while servicing my air cleaner today??
The end cap of the air filter was laying in the airbox on the bottom. The air filter on the bottom has a 2" hole that probably sucked up everything in the world for the last 300 miles!
Not impressed!

One could only hope. I didn't hear it fall off as I was taking off the housing!
Wonder if I should dump out oil and filter early??

Wouldn't hurt...and pull the intake tube off and clean it...see if you see anything in the throttle body. I would also report it to your dealer cause of the engine starts to use oil, they should know why they are rebuilding it.

I noticed on mine the filter that came with it from the factory looked like a POS but the replacements I ordered were a better quality. Regardless, I am inspecting mine tomorrow!

Glad yours was ok! Whew!

Grab a flash light and look inside your intake through the airbox. If you see dirt caked inside the throttle body and on the butterfly, id take off you entire intake system and clean it all out. Be careful with your air temp sensor on the intake "T" as well as your injectors.

I can't believe your QC department didn't catch this.
Many countries have stopped using the factory filter straight out of the crate.
Here we have opened every unit and spare filters and resealed the metal cap.
That being said I have not seen a bad filter in about 3-4 months
P.S. that flaw is well known take it back to the dealer asap.

Our sales rep told us they were aware of some QC issues with the vendor for the air filter and had or were changing vendors.

Ours arrive crated, we do final assembly. We dont get the bulletins pushed to us, we have a dealer site we go to for parts ordering and other resources (manuals, break downs, bulletins, ect)

There will be a cfmoto dealer meet up next month in China, Do you know if your country will be joining? I don't see anything for usa.
The meeting will be about new x4, x5 motors and chassis.
Talk to your rep and see if you can get over!, I will be an eye opener for you.
They will bring you up to speed on a lot of aspects of CFmoto.

The US had their own meeting the the Chinese a few weeks ago here in the states. The dealers were supposed to have a meeting at the US headquarters but they canceled it. They are now going to use the Orlando dealer show as a dealer meeting which is in October.

That would be why I don't see USA on the roster.
This meeting involves 25 countries.
They are good as you can discuss issues with a lot of different opinions and ways to correct them.
I'm guessing only upper management for you guys.
