Is there a place to connect to accessory power like a terminal some where?

I traced the accessory power back to the fuse holder by the steering column and found nothing on my 15 Z8 so I just used quick-splice connectors on the accessory plug wire which is fused in that block. It's easy to get to once the front storage tray is removed.

Hi folks, just a thought, Ive been searching for pics on the forum and even videos on youtube that might give locations/explanations of the connections that are just hanging in various places on the zforce. I have a new 2016  zforce 800 and while just going over the machine ive come across several. Some located under the storage compartment in the front end, some under the dash etc... I know the two hanging down inside the front fenders are for turn signals, two under the drivers seat are a main fuse and something else,..but the others I'm clueless. Any ideas? thanks

Not sure of all of it but a lot of it is for the features, switches and lights that don't come on the US versions. There is a base wiring diagram in the Z800 section that you can refer to once you have the colors and general location. There are also some locations where service techs can test circuits in production I believe. Under the drivers seat is the main fuse and either the wench or P/S system fuse...I think it's wench though.   

Thanks for the quick response.  I ordered a 10 gang fuse block and found a good place to mount it in that front panel where the x's are that seems like a good central location for it. I took the other pic to see if anyone might know what these plugs are for...

In the first pic they are probably for switches for things the US models don't come with like turn signals and flashers. Look on some Canadian vide to see what those switches are.

 So have you or anybody else tied into the plugs and utilize them for extra lighting or anything else as of yet?  I too have the same plugs on my 2016  Z force 800,  and want to add a 240 W light bar,  2-18 W pods and a 6 foot whip with unknown wattage.  I also found two additional plug-ins and have put my volt meter to them and discovered that some are 6 V and some are 12 V. I will post pictures of what I found.

All extra accessories should be tied into either the accessory circuit, which is that plug on the dash (or it's wiring) or on a separate circuit off a battery. Never a good idea to use existing open plugs on the harness as they are on assigned systems that may not be "friendly" to extra loads. And..you want to keep the extra total load to less then the accessory fuse as that is close to the total extra output of the stator with all factory loads on. 10 or 15 amps I believe.

I put all my extras on that one fused accessory circuit. I figure its safe and if it blows that fuse...so what, I still have all the original equipment to get me home.

So your reference is to the 2 plugs with out covers in the background? The orange and the yellow?

What is the best way to run power for a radio and a light bar?

I used the winch hot wire for my radio and light bar.  It's located above the glove box.  Grab your multi meter and the wiring diagram.  Make sure you use a relay for the light bar.  It will draw way too much amperage for a switch.  Under the hood box you can easily find switched and constant power.  Make sure you fuse all your accessories.

I don't think a light bar draws all that much amperage depends what kind I guess. I have a 13" on the front wired direct to a switch and the LED bars don't draw too much. The 36" I have on the back came with a relay in the harness so that one is on a relay

Yeah they don't pull anywhere near what you might think. My 24" on front only pulls 4.6 amps and the rear 7" only pulls about 2. I'm using the accessory plug circuit as it's already fused with a 10 amp fuse for everything so far but if I need to add much more I think I'll add a relayed accessory circuit with a fused distribution board. There is only about 15 amps of extra power you can use so...

If I remember correctly my 36 inch bar pulled 14.7 amps.  I know the switch I purchased was rated for 20 amperoni's.  I just imagined that switch getting hot and starting to melt with that light bar on for 2 or 3 hours.  Needless to say, the light bar was the best purchase I made for the Z.
