In Patagonia we have a lot of wind and this is very noticeable as an example wind in favor the speedometer easily reaches 118 km / h and wind against 100 km / h. I also noticed that it slows down a lot with the windshield.

Iam here again , y put a Dr Pulley from a German supplier I don know the weight but Iam now in 66 miles but my real issue is when a going in the desert with a heavy sand my ZForce loose power o velocity and the razors 900 and 800 pass me away and that Piss me off so I try to solve this with the improvements  so what I have to do increase the size of the tire for a 27 or 28 or another weights 22 gr , or what. I appreciate your comments .

I'm fighting that same issue and it's due to load so larger and heavier tires won't be the answer. I found setting the secondary clocking or spring preload does help along with lighter sliders. I am on the A2 position and using 22 gram sliders. It does way better then stock but still lacking. Keeping the machine as light as possible also helps but the real issue is... these 800s only have 65 hp, and with only one throttle body, they were not built as a high performance engine... a programer and two brothers muffler will help some if tuned properly. In the sand, tires that keep it on top and not trench-in and rob it's power will also help a great deal.

We have some videos in the How To section on clutch work and yeah if you are still on the factory setting, B1, then you really need to reclock it. And run 27s and they are OK but know any aftermarket tire, even ones the same size as the stock 26s, will be heavier and will cost some power. For trail riding I personally wouldn't go over 27s but If my riding was more..mud and water then desert and mountain trails, I might be tempted to go a bit larger and just deal with the power loss with some extra tuning.

For you...and because of the sand..B2 for sure. Leave the primary alone for now but..consider 24 gram sliders for the future.

Just my thoughts for the day. As I was putting mine back together from checking out the tank filter...and finding nothing I thought "WTF am I doing here?" So what if it only does 63-65 or so, the most you can do on forest service roads is 35.. legally. I hardly ever exceed 45 on.. anything.. normally. This thing wasn't bought for use as a high-speed desert racer or blowing downs road at 75mph, it was bought for leisurely trail rides with the family, exploring and enjoying nature. It does all that well..and it runs just fine, power's up anything I have the “stones” to try, runs right with all my friends (except Jogon30's new YXZ), and has been very consistent and trustworthy (yes I said that). I need to quit screwing with this thing and just put some miles on it. Besides, I think my only issue with speed reduction comes from first, my loss of 20%+ power at this altitude and the addition of new windshield pushing it past it’s ability to hit the limiter. So what? This is just a Chinese copy of the RzR 800 with a modified copy of the Rotex 800 engine. If I wanted a bad-ass machine, I would have bought one of the many 1000s out there..but I didn't want or need something like that.

Ok, thought over...carry on guys!  :)
Excellent post, echoes my feelings perfectly. I want one of these to take me where I want to go exploring, comfortably, safely, with a companion I can talk with who doesn't have to be straddling me, and reliably enough that I am not stranded somewhere due to breakdown. I need to carry the whack of stuff I do on my ATV and it can't be wider than the ATV so I can still go on the narrow old mining trails I so enjoy. Having a little jam when I floor it would be nice too. I don't however care if it tops out at 75 MPH or 60, I ain't going that speed with an ORV anyway. Ever. :)

if you change the tire size just keep an eye on the weight of the new tires. I was doing a lot of research and for me dirt commanders seemed a really good choice at 27" but they don't make a 28.. There are very light mud tires I think they were the mudzillas (not sure) those might work well in sand you can get them in 28's and they are about as light as you can get. I don't want mud tire tread myself for trail riding.

Wish I had one of you local to look at mine and see if it runs like it should.. Its fine for me, just dont know how people are seeing 68-70mph.
Are any of these EX models, full front and rear windows, roof, tools, what air pressure in the tires, how long to reach that speed, what type of road, etc etc.
Just thinking the trail models may be a little lighter, narrower, less drag, no windows or roof, tool box.
I added a 21lb speaker and still get 55mph.
I'm just thinking its because of mine being an EX with, roof (Light bar on top) , both windows, 30lbs in tools, 21lb speaker, and running 8lb on front and 12lb in rear tires.
I just want to compare ALL variables to be accurate.

For me up here at 5400 feet I can say before any additions and without any windshield I could hit 68 on the flat and still have some left...maybe enough to get 70 or 71..in time. After the windshield and the extras like the doors, skids & box I can sometimes..with the wind at my back hit 64...maybe.. over a long stretch and I think that's about it. I think its all of it together but the way it acts, the windshield is the biggest factor. That's a hell of an airdam I guess. Really feel it on a 65hp machine. For me that's OK cause I never go over 45 or so on any trail of fire/forest road anyway. I use mine to explore the back country...and bring me back to camp. Long as it does that... I'm happy.

I can run ~65.  I run a roof, beadlocks (heavy), 8 ply tires (VERY heavy), and big and high A arm guards that much like a windshield are a billboard in the wind.  I know im giving up a couple MPH because of it but much like you guys I dont see those top end numbers really ever.  I want the low and mid range grunt MUCH more.
I can imagine a world completely at peace.  A world where there are no weapons, no war, and no violence at all.  And I can imagine us taking over that world because they would never expect it.
