CF Moto seems to be going backwards with their 800. The models up to and including 2017 had a park brake that was/is an entirely independent mechanically actuated disk brake on the rear driveline, so it was a park brake and a true emergency brake. You can lock the back end up or it acts on all 4 when you are in 4wd. Later they changed it to a lever actuated mechanical way to engage just the regular service brake. Now what, they have eliminated the park brake altogether?

You could park an 800 with the wet clutch on the steepest hill and leave it in low if on a downhill or reverse if on an uphill and walk away! (I don't recommend it, but you could) Engine shut off of course.
In fact it would work to shut the motor off in low gear and then once the machine has taken up any slack THEN put it in park and the pawl shouldn't load up and could be shifted out with ease. But with the post 2022 switch to a dry clutch now even THAT ability is no more.

The wet clutch driveline was one of the better attributes of the 800, that sold me on the notion of getting a CF Moto 5 years ago. That and a super park/emergency brake. Pity.
I'll try to find a youtube I made of me parking my 800 on a steep hill with no brakes engaged at all, and walking away. We don' need no steenking parkbrake. (but we HAD one) :)
