Know you know your system. Think I'll copy that to the How-To video section.

I just bought a zforce 800 trail a week ago....it has the new engine but the dealer said nothing to me about it. Learned everything about it online. I called them, told them the situation, and asked for an updated owners manual as the manual i got is for the old engine. Well, mass confusion between the service dept and parts dept so they said they would get back to me. However, i can safely say the dipstick in the rear is engine oil. Its my understanding the transmissions use 75w90 gear oil and needs to be changed also. That dipstick is the one behind the passenger seat. I,m still scratchin my head tryin to figure out this machine so somebody please correct me if im wrong. thanks...

CFMotousa said in an email "new owners manuals will be published soon". The engine change occurred in January.  >:(

On the new engine in the 2022 zforce 800 trail, I think I got it straight on what dip stick is what, and the type of transmission oil it takes. I got one more question. Has anything changed as far as the oil filter? Still the same as before?
 thanks..

ok...oil changed. however, the air filter didnt fit. The lip on it was same size as the tube you put it in and it was shorter. Anybody got a part number for the air filter for the 2022 cfmoto zforce 800 trail?
at least now im positive the oil dip stick IS the one in the rear.

Most..at least in previous years.. the 2.25" filter flange fits but the CFM plastic tube has a lip on it that either had to be removed or turned around to fit the Unifilter. Some over tighten the Uni's HD clamp and buckle the tube so be careful of that. I got some 2.25" aluminum turbo pipe and made me one I'll never have to worry about.  Some pics:

The lip that needs reversed or removed:

What happens when too much force is used on the larger Uni clamp:

yeah, i feel like a idiot...i just found out i need to pull that lip outta the old one and put it on the new. I thought i had the wrong filter so i used the new foam from the new filter to put over the old filter beins as the old filter only has 177 easy miles on it so it was still clean. i gotta tell ya, i had a hellofa time with those clips holding the filter cover on. Any tricks to that or just pure strength. This the first time in 20 years i changed oil in anything due to back problems. I was painfully reminded i aint no young buck no more. (66)  I put the machine up on 4 car ramps so i could crawl my fat ass under it. That seemed to work pretty well. I live about 120 miles from the nearest shop with no means to get my machine over there for service so im more or less on my own for maintenance. Between youtube and this forum, i'm learning a lot so thanks to all here for an abundance of info.

Those clips are a PITA but with some small needle noise vice grips clipped on to the thump pieces, you can pull and flex them on and off pretty easy.
