2021 zforce 800 trail snorkel question
« on: August 05, 2021, 08:03:57 AM »
I have been doing research and planning on snorkeling the air intake directly between the seats and the CVT intake behind the drivers seat. Today I took off the center cover to install harnesses and see another intake attached to CVT. That one is way lower than the others and huge. Does that also need to be snorkeled?  I don’t see any mentions of that area anywhere.

That one is the discharge or exhaust for the CVT. If you plan on going in deep enough water to cover that opening, then yes, you need to bring it up too.

Thanks.  That one looks a little trickier than the other two.  Is there any other vent or hose that I need to look at snorkeling for deep water riding?

The two vent tubes off the front and rear diffs. The ends will be under water if you go much more then over the top of the tires. And I am not 100% sure but I don't think CFM uses sealed 12 volt motors on their fans so be aware placing them under water may have consequences...although people do it all the time. And just be aware that most electrical connections and switch are not water-tite/proof. If you are using the OE airbox, be sure to use some seal grease on the lid's seal as they sometimes leak..mostly along the lower edge.

Never had water in the front diff, but the rear I've had to change a few times this year alone for getting milky.

No Polaris I know of has the 4/110 bolt pattern....or the proper offset. The tires alone however should fit but you may need a lift kit. Usually 28s are the max on a trail before rubbing issues.
