2019 Z force 800 Trail lower door inserts
« on: August 06, 2019, 10:03:44 AM »
I tried to order lower door inserts for my 2019 Z force 800 Trail and the place where I tried to order it said they only make them up to 2018. He said they plan on making them but it will be later this year or sometime next year. Does anybody know anybody that makes inserts for these? Got to do something to stop all the water from coming in LOL. Thanks in advance.

The only one that had doors in 2018 was the 1000. Starting 2019 all had the same doors as the 1000 so if they have inserts for the 2018 1000, then they should fit your 2019 trail. But wait!. There is a guy that makes inserts for these and there is a thread on them with a link. I'll see if I can find it.

Here it is:

Here's a link to the people that are making them in case you didn't catch that sticker at the start.

WvHunter - How did the door inserts work for your Z8?  Did they install easily and fill all of the opening or were there still areas that let dirt and water in?

Another option is to put pickup truck mud flaps on the bottom of the fenders. That’s what I did and no more mud and water comes in the cab.

Yes they were easy to install. The smaller panels don’t fit really tight and it will let some dust in but you don’t get soaked from hitting the water holes like before. I ran a small bead of clear silicone around mine to help seal it better.

I did this with mine, but they were big rubber ones for a semi truck.  Cut them down to size and left them long enough to hang about 3-4" below the front fenders, and no more soaking wet muddy thighs.  I like having the lower doors open like that so this was a perfect mod for me.

I had first cut out a couple big pieces of mudflap that I mounted on the inside of the cab to cover the smaller rear holes but I've since removed them as they weren't needed with the fender flaps.

I think I might try those mudflaps also. We come to streams or rivers and we ride in them so the water won’t splash in side of the cab it just runs in from the side openings of the doors. These door inserts will help keep a lot out and the mud flaps should help with the splashing. Great idea.

And the mud flaps helps keep the mud off the buggy. Gotta stay shiny ya know. Lol
