2019 Z force 800 frame problem
« on: September 20, 2019, 09:01:57 PM »
Hello there. A friend of mine has a brand new Z force 800. First time out riding it the lower RF a arm ripped rite out of the frame. He didn't even hit anything. Just cranking along and bang the RF wheel takes a hard right as the a arm mount broke off the frame. Looking at it, it seems the tab that the a arm bolt goes through is slotted. The only thing keeping the bolt in is a small washer that tacket in 2 spots. Super cheesy. He brought it back to the dealer. When they contacted CF moto they told him they were aware of the problem and that they would send them an update kit to have welded on. My buddies like wtf this thing is brand freekin new I dont really want to have the thing welded already. Literally first time out. I'm here because I'm guessing hes not the first one to have this happen. So what's the deal with this clam? Who has some info?

The only ones I know of that have had issues were those that didn't get the bolt torque checked and the holes egged out. But that takes time. The others actually did something they didn't... or wouldn't admit to like clip a stump, rock and tree... or jumped it. I had a loose bolt but fixed that at the start and no other issues sense in 1500+ miles so far.
