Just bought this side by side.  I guess brake lights have never worked on it and previous owners did not think it had one.  I can not see a side by side or ATV not having brake lights.  Running light is working fine, looked back there but only see two wires going to the light, usually if brake light there are three unless they change the voltage to make the light brighter.  At the dealer they were talking about a brake light switch near the master cylinder, was looking there and don't see much.  So again my assumption is that it has to have a brake light, any ideas let me know.  Will talk with dealer service on Monday.

Ok looked at the manual and the wiring diagram and see that yes there are brake lights which I guess have not worked from day one.  Don't know if the lights are burned or if it is the brake switch/relay.  If anybody has ran into this let me know.

The pre-2018s have an external brake light switch on a spring off the peddle. The 2018+s as I understand it have an internal or pressure-activated switch built into the pressure side of the brake fluid system. It will be the only thing up there with wires going to it. Check it, the fuses and the relay along with and connections on the way. Of course check the bulbs and sockets as well. These are simple systems as are most things on Chinese machines.

On my 1000 the pressure switch went bad. To check just unplug the connection and jump the wires with the key on, the break lights should come on if not you have other problems. The hardest part was getting a wrench on and getting the pressure switch loose. Also I didn't bleed the whole system after either there was no need to.

I will check the pressure switch, I guess it has never worked from day one and again previous owner did not know any better.  I saw a little wetness at the end on the pressure side wondering if that line is leaking at all, regardless thanks it makes sense and I will check the switch.  Since neither light is working for brake assuming problem is here, tough to access the lights in the back.  I am an Electrical Engineer and pretty good mechanic, just was not planning on digging into this machine when it is only 2 years old with 500 miles on it.  The switch is like $30 or so.  Will update after I figure it out so other people with same issue see the resolution.
