Excellent info, NMK, I'm going to print that; AFTER I get this fixed....

So I take off in one of the machines today; and the front left wheel falls off. (YIKES).
After investigation, I have over tightened all the lugs, and broken about 11 of them (both machines). Now I'm searching for new replacement lugs, the ones that were pressed into the spacers. I also must find out what is the torque spec for them...VERY glad we didn't go for a ride yet on them....whoa.

They will be 10mm x1.25. Probably the same stud as any Japanese machine. I have some extras for my BF and they look to be the same as the Motos. Sorry that happened. Yeah 60ftlbs is their...and the Moto wheels upper limit. 56-60 is a common torque. I have to be carful as I found even my little air impact hits 70 too easy...and the first and only time I used my 1000ftlb impact it snapped the lug off on the low setting before I could take my finger off the trigger...that's why I have the extra studs...lol

I think the knurl is bigger on those ones....

SO I call the Yamaha Dealer (because the CF Moto one doesn't have them) and this parts guy tells me that if I can't give him THE part number for the Yamaha it goes on, he can't find them for me. We get worse, as a Nation, every day. I have Wifey at the car parts place right now, having them measure them, and see what they have, and I sent the manufacturer a message (they of course have no phone number, and they're in California). Crazy to me how hard it is to get something SO simple, sometimes.

I just ordered another 2 sets of them. It was my fault for not installing them right in the first place, and I just don't want to keep on chasing those wheel studs. Evidently, I'm the only one who ever broke one before....but I'm telling you, we're dumbing down, totally, societally. Used to be you could call most any parts counter & say "wheel studs" & he'd grasp what kind of part you're looking for, now, today, I say that, and they say back:
 "well, we have the kind that is like a nut, right; that's what you want?"
