As you can see there's little information because they're just too new and not a lot of owners of the Sport or Heritage are posting here. Not helping greatly are most of the YouTube videos that are either by reviewers or local dealers with a bunch of European, Asian, and South American/Mexican owners with no subtitles.
I got my Heritage on October 14th and am on my 2nd set of Pirellis as I just hit 6,023miles over 144.9 hours with an average speed of 44.4mph on mostly back country winding twisty roads of the southeast Catskills portion of the Appalachian Mountains here in the Upstate Mid-Hudson & Capital Region of New York State.
You can find plenty of diagrams from this site which is a bit of a pain because they have parts for quads and side by sides mixed in. You're better off hitting the pull down menu on the left for SELECT CATEGORY subsections unless you want to go through all 73 pages
https://cfmotousaparts.com/?year_id=44280&make=44281&model=44287&s=&post_type=product&action=vpf-ymm-searchThere is a known issue regarding the Gear Indicator on the Speedometer Gauge where it will flash from 1 to 6. The few comments found about it on the web don't go into too many detail. I had the Transmission Gear Sensor changed by my local dealer under the 2 Year Unlimited Warranty but it is not resolved and a new problem popped up that I am in the process of detailing in a longer but coherent post here for later tonight or tomorrow night EST.
This video was posted on youtube 5 months ago showing the process of him changing the Reverse Gear Sensor that his dealer did not cover under warranty which adds to the confusion and frustration.
I've got about 40 very short videos most under a minute of mileage updates, with some 2-5 minute ones giving information received from my dealer, CFMOTO, the mirrors I replaced and some of the gear I use.
https://www.youtube.com/@700clx2/videosAt your earliest convenience you should load Google Maps or any other Speedometer app on your phone to find out how fast you're really going! My speedo is off by 1-3mph up to 45mph and it might save you some speeding tickets!! I also learned that I have not been pulled over by NYS Troopers on I-87 with the Cruise Control set at 80mph because I was only doing 75mph. That also assured me that the cars and trucks passing me were not doing 90mph as I thought. You're usually pretty safe within 10-15mph over the posted limit up here. Of course I didn't have the app open when the opportunity presented itself to hit 103 on the speedometer before I ran out of straight road but I definitely had a lot of RPMs left before redline! I can't imagine how much better the tuning on your Sport. I only got the heritage for the upright seating due to a bad hip.
Obviously I don’t know where you're located, if you're a new rider, or if you’re in the market, and there's no hidden code here so I receive zero discount or credit from them but I can recommend Refrigiwear. They are a company in Georgia catering to outdoor and indoor cold climate workers like slaughterhouses, freezers, food warehouses, fulfillment centers and the like. All of their products have clearly posted working temperatures and they even have a line of gear that’s made here in the States. They almost always have some 20% off codes on the site and they don’t charge for returns! I started by buying multiple sizes and sending back the ones that didn’t fit! I personally bought these, which are killer! They happened to do a live show last night with a 25% off code PFLIVE that's good for a few days.
https://refrigiwear.com/product/insulated-diamond-quilted-jacket/ This is super thin and fits under my armored leather jacket. It’s been good down to 27° for 2 hours.
https://refrigiwear.com/product/extreme-sweater-jacket/ This fuzzy thing is also thin and pretty darn close to waterproof and I keep it strapped to rear seat as there’s no available accessories for our bikes yet.
https://refrigiwear.com/product/base-layer-bottom/ These have worked alone under regular jeans down to the mid 40°s for 3 hours.
One other thing I can share is that since a new Cycle Gear store opened in Albany so I’ve fully taken advantage of the 90 mile ride and their 90 day unlimited return deal so I bought, tested, and returned a lot of jackets, gloves, and other gear that didn’t meet up to their advertisements of being comfy, wind or waterproof. I even returned a few pairs of boots that were just too thick to shift gears comfortably, gloves that had bad tips for touching the signals and horn, and a few that just didn’t break in well enough. I did keep the 1 liter Primus Fuel Bottle and the Nelson Rigg Trail End case that I have strapped to the license plate/turn signal mount and it came in handy on Monday when I got lost in the dark in the middle of nowhere with sporadic cell signal 40 miles from home. They cater to all types of riding and snowmobiling so if you have one close it’s definitely worth the trip.
In all I am definitely disappointed that parts are hard to find but I'm not pissed because I can still ride it! Just not on days warmer than 40°, in 6th gear, with the Cruise Control on, at speeds faster than 65mph!
In the meantime I'd love to hear how you picked up a used one already!! Did you get it cheap or assume a loan? Were they scared or disappointed with it?
Good luck with your bike and keep that odometer turning!
