Ali Express knock-off side stand enlarger foot ($9.74 shipping included). Two weeks from China to Illinois. Perfect fit and is stable on hard surface also.

I did not want a knock-off radiator guard, so I ordered a genuine CFMOTO through my dealer (hasn't arrived yet).

Hey Flatlander, have you found any frame sliders that are compatible with the 700 sport? I contacted CF customer service and they didn’t have any recommendations. I found some spool sliders and also purchased the radiator guard.

I also purchased the kickstand foot from Ali as well as the cat delete midpipe.

Unfortunately with CFMOTO just entering the US market, and aftermarket manufacturers designing to the Japanese Big Four for many years (like Vortex, SW-Motech, Puig, TST Industries Womet-Tech, Woodcraft, Rizoma, GB Racing) … it will take some time to see much in the way of aftermarket bits and pieces.

I just removed the frame tube rubber plug, and the bolt head takes a 15mm socket head. Not sure of bolt size, thread, and length. I’m not going to remove it, as this bolt attaches upper part of motor to the frame (referred to as stressed member engine/frame). If removing this bolt to install a slider, I would recommend supporting the engine on a floor jack/platform of some sort, as the motor could easily drop just enough to not allow insertion of the slider bolt (same for any bike with stressed member engine/frame).

Second photo shows the end of frame bolt. Different than the Z900, which had no nut holding the bolt (bolt went directly into aluminum engine case). In my opinion, the CLX design is better. On the Z900, if you snapped that bolt... big frustration getting it out.

Careful with exhaust mods (unless approved by CFMOTO). And I suspect there may not be any companies providing ECU Flash services yet.

Yeah I’ll keep it handy. I took that cap off as well and noticed it did mount the engine to the frame. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed some companies put some money into developing products, or CFMOTO releases them.

Can you share any insight on the aliexpress experience? I don't know anyone that has taken the chance with them. For the CL-X they already have what they call splash guards for rear fenders, different style engine crash bars and guards, small windshields, saddlebag mounts, fake carbon fiber and other sticker packages.

Covid really screwed the world up as these bikes were sitting in containers for a year before being delivered this year and spare parts, let alone accessories are not ready yet.
CFMOTO has already and will release the 2023 Adventure model of the CL-X in Australia, Romania, Czech Morocco and a few other European countries but none have responded to my requests to ship those parts to the US.

Most are universal so I found replacement mirrors through Parts Unlimited and my local shop ordered a pair for me at only $22 a pair.

It took three weeks for my dealer to get a replacement reverse gear indicator sensor that went bad. It caused the gauge to flash between 1st and 6th gear which only, as it should, thinking it's in 1st gear, disengages the cruise control only at speeds above 65mph. Most of the 4000 miles I put on since October 14th have been on twisty back roads and it'll be in the shop for warranty replacement next week.

Best of luck with yours!

Keep that odometer spinning!

Oops, sorry for late response. The only item I've purchased from Ali Express is the kickstand foot, arrived in 2 weeks and fit perfectly.

Other accessories I purchased from Ali Express for my previous bike (carbon fiber exhaust pipe protector and engine case covers) arrived in about 2 weeks and fit perfectly.

Do the items from AliExpress get shipped directly to your home or do they go to the port and you have to deal with Customs? Would you be so kind as to share the dealer you purchased from so I know they're legitimate and can eliminate some stress waiting for the unknown?

Thanks!!

Has anyone tried to mount any of the rear racks to a 700CL-X Sport?  I'm looking to do just that but wondered if anyone else has had success.

I didn't do the rear rack, but I did get the tank bag with the quick mount. Mounted good and works as expected.
